Your Wedding
in a Beautiful Woodland Cove

a celebration with up to forty-five guests

Your wedding ceremony venue...

Brigadoon Cove

This open-air chapel is set in a woodland cove garden,
with stone benches and towering trees and a mountain stream.

Logs form the base of the beautiful pews
and the canopy is nature's own.

A natural clearing in the forest under tall hardwood trees makes a fabulous green canopy overhead during spring and summer, and breathtaking golds and reds and russets in autumn.

The cove is landscaped in lovely plants, many native to these mountains.  You'll find azaleas and oak-leaf hydrangea and dozens of ferns and hostas and coral bells and all sorts of lilies.  For spring, the tulip and daffodil and crocus bulbs greet early celebrations.  The entire cove is ringed in ancient native great rhododendron (wolf laurel) with dense foliage that affords privacy and seclusion.

Brigadoon Cove
Brigadoon, a legendary tale of true love in the highland mist
...an enchanting setting for your perfect wedding

Please note that we don't charge you any silly fees for using your own photographer - the more, the merrier! And since your wedding photo album is presented on CD, there are no hidden fees for negatives and reprints for your friends and family.

You may invite your clergy to perform the ceremony, or we can do this for you.
There is no additional fee for this - it's our pleasure.

We've made sure that the property is yours for the day, so you don't have to worry about
running into another wedding party scheduled an hour after yours!
We want you to relax and enjoy your special day here at Brigadoon Cove.

Here's how it works:
Bride:
  • You arrive at the Cottage an hour before the ceremony is scheduled, to prepare for your wedding.
  • Your private entry is from the deck on the stream.
  • In the Streamsong Room, the Bride's bouquet (and Maid of Honor flowers, if arranged) await on the dressing table.
  • The photographer arrives for discrete preparation photos.
  • (The groom and his attendants are being told to proceed to the chapel, and await you there!)
  • It's time!  Your Bridesmaids walk to Brigadoon Cove, and are escorted down the aisle by the Groomsmen.
  • You and your Maid of Honor walk to Brigadoon Cove. (If you have arranged for a special car or limousine, you may ride to the ceremony and park in the archway.)
  • The Maid or Matron of Honor is escorted by the Best Man.
  • Your father escorts you down the aisle to join your Groom.
Groom:
  • You arrive at the Cottage an hour before the ceremony is scheduled, to prepare for your wedding.
  • Your private entry is just past the front door on the stone walkway.
  • In the Woodland Room, boutonniere for the Groom (and the Best Man, if arranged) await on the desktop.
  • The photographer arrives for discrete preparation photos.
  • Fifteen minutes before the wedding, you and your best man walk to Brigadoon Cove, and proceed to the outdoor chapel to join your Officiant.
  • Groomsmen and the Father of the Bride await at the archway.
  • The Bridesmaids arrive and are escorted down the aisle by the Groomsmen.
  • The Maid or Matron of Honor is escorted by the Best Man.
  • The Bride is escorted down the aisle by her father.

Your wedding Officiant will be Sandra Wright, an ordained minister.  Your vows can be a traditional wedding ceremony or you may write your own.  If you choose a traditional ceremony, a copy of the service will be submitted to you beforehand for your approval.

Following the ceremony (Congratulations!) the wedding party follows in recession to form a receiving line along the curving stone wall in the gathering space.  The wedding party stays for photography, and to sign the wedding certificate, arriving at the reception an hour later.  (You may wish to arrange for additional photography at your reception.)  Best Wishes, Bon Voyage, and the newly wedded couple return to Timberwolf Creek for their honeymoon.  (No need to tell the wedding guests where you are staying!)  Your wedding photos will be provided on CD 2-3 weeks after your departure.

If you wish, we can arrange for a soloist, plus additional flowers.  Accommodations are in addition to the wedding package.  If you wish, we can arrange for a massage therapist to help you relax before the festivities - a wonderful treat for the Bachelorette Party!  Please be aware that after 7:00PM, only registered guests are permitted on the property.  Violations of this policy will result in forfeiture of your $500 deposit and a lot of embarrassment.
